Battery callout, Coles carpark, 41 minutes.

Dead battery in a Woolworths carpark, one flat 4WD, one stressed mum and two kids. We were there in 41 minutes with the right battery on the shelf.

Call came in at 3:47pm — Prado DX wouldn't crank in the Coles Caringbah carpark. Two small kids, groceries thawing, NRMA quoted a 2-hour wait.

Emma took the booking, confirmed the battery spec from the rego, and dispatched Sam from the Cronulla side of the Shire. Stock check on the van: one Century DIN75 AGM, exactly what the Prado needed.

Arrived in 41 minutes. Tested the dead battery first — not worth jump-starting, internal cell had collapsed. Tested the alternator output before installing the new one: 14.2V at idle, healthy. Not a charging system problem, just a tired 5-year-old battery.

New Century DIN75 AGM fitted, terminals cleaned, clamps torqued, ECU relearn run via the Autel tool so idle stability returned immediately. Old battery taken for recycling.

Thirty-eight minutes on site including the diagnostics. Mum was driving out of the carpark before 5pm with three years of warranty and a receipt emailed before she left.
